Kitchen Stations
Inclusive Solutions Kitchen is an allergen-friendly micro-restaurant with two locations, located in the Ikenberry and Illinois Street Dining Centers, where food items are made and served without the top 9 allergens and gluten. These stations are open to all meal plan holders.
Food items are prepared in a separate allergen-friendly space with ingredients that are verified gluten- and top 9 allergen-free and are served to students on separate plates by our trained staff to prevent cross-contact from other dishes in the dining area.
These station options will be the easiest for you if your allergies are within the top 9 and you don't feel like "planning ahead" one day; you can just walk into the hall, or look on the Illinois app, and select whatever looks good that day at either station.
Custom Orders Program
Our award-winning program offers a mobile app for students to order customizable entrees, sides and desserts prior to arriving in any of our all-you-care to eat dining halls during their normal operating hours. The meals are prepared in a separate allergy-friendly area that has special cleaning and preparation protocols and is staffed only by the Dining Allergy Team, who are specially-trained Dining Services staff members.
To become eligible for the program, one must first be registered through Disability Resources and Educational Services and have a documented medical need for accommodations.

Frequently Asked Questions
If I am enrolled in the IS Custom Orders Program, am I only able to access safe food through the two IS stations at IKE and ISR?
No, if a student is approved for dietary accommodations through a DRES Access Specialist and is in the program, they may access the custom order services at all four of our all-you-care-to dining halls. Some enrolled students even prefer the other two all-you-care-to-eat dining halls, LAR and PAR, for their expanded custom order options!
Do I need to be registered through DRES to eat at the Inclusive Solution stations in IKE and ISR?
No, these two stations are open to any and all meal plan holders who wish to get food from there.
If I am enrolled in the IS Custom Orders Program, can I still eat other food in the dining halls outside of my custom order?
Absolutely! This program doesn't restrict students to only ordering food through our service. We've seen some students use it for 2-3 meals every day, while others have simply supplemented their meals with 2-3 orders this entire semester, preferring to find their own food for the remaining meals. Additionally, our 'all you care to eat' model in our dining halls means you'll have unlimited choices. Students are welcome to grab food from any station or self-service fridge/area within the dining hall.
Do I have to eat my meal in the dining halls if I am enrolled in the program?
No, students can opt to get their custom-made meals for dine-in or packaged for carryout. This makes dining on the go easier and allows them to eat in the comfort of their residence hall or wherever they'd like to eat! Our current process is to give students in these programs their food on a double-washed plate and provide a new to-go box; they then package the food themselves.
How does it work if I have a food allergy but am not enrolled in the program and want to use the Good2Go Carry-out Program at the IS Kitchen Stations?
Students would follow the normal Good2Go process, except they would exchange the dirty box for a token at the checker stand, then exchange the token for a reusable to go container from the IS kitchen station itself, instead of from the checker. This avoids possible cross-contact from obtaining reusable carryout containers from the general supply.
