Academic Advising
Proper selection of classes is a vital part of the discovery of interests and career possibilities. To aid in navigating in academic choices, our WEX academic advisor from the Division of General Studies holds daily office hours and appointments every day, Monday through Friday from 1:30-5:00pm. For appointments, please call (217) 333-4710.
Career Services
Our WEX Career Counselor holds appointments and interactive seminars to assist students in making career and academic decisions, assess interest in skill assessment, skill building and assist our students as they search for internship and work opportunities.
E-Discover
This online program guides students through the process of self-examination and provides detailed information to help users make career and educational decisions. For a login and instructions, please email exphall@illinois.edu
Office of Minority Students Affairs (OMSA)
Graduate counselors hold regular office hours at Weston to provide academic guidance and support for students throughout the Peabody area.
Resource Center
Weston features an extensive collection of career reference material including books that focus on connecting majors with careers, volunteer opportunities, and job search guides. These books are available for check out in room 17. Review the list of books in our Resource Center.
Weston has a full time staff including a program coordinator and secretary as well as a resident director and specially trained Resident Advisor & Multicultural Advocate staff.
