A Cappallen

Wanna sing? Love beat boxing? Does music make you quiver in ecstasy? Come join “a cappallen,” the Allen Hall a cappella group!  There are no try outs and everyone is welcome! Only one hour of rehearsal a week! We just want to sing with you! =] Contact RA Jill podgors2@illinois.edu

AHAAA! (Allen Hall Asian Americans & Asians)

This group will focus on celebrating and learning about Asian cultures. Events may include cooking demonstrations, going to Japan House, celebrating the moon festival and many more.  Students are encouraged to share knowledge about Asian culture and traditions. A.L.A.S. (Association of Latin American Students)

Eusa Nia

Eusa Nia is one of the seven Black Student Unions in University Housing. Located in Allen Hall, “Eusa Nia” is Swahili for “Black Purpose.” That “purpose” is to instill pride and understanding of the African-American community in Allen Hall through programs, discussions, and social events. Invisible Children is a global movement dedicated to ending Africa's longest-running war. It is more than that as well, we are dedicated to the betterment of all of humanity. We base our activities around both the plans of the international organization and the idea of an "Empathic Civilization." Planeteers

We are dedicated to making Allen and our campus more environmentally friendly. Q is Allen Hall's discussion group for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and ally students. Reach, Teach, Love (RTL)

RTL is a student group dedicated to raising awareness and taking action about education policy and reform. Weekly gatherings focus on discussion about the current state of the education system and reform possibilities. Reflections and discussions of RTL meetings are constructed into a publication that will be made available to all of Allen Hall in an effort to raise awareness. RTL members can participate in writing letters to local and national legislators about education reform, attending UI education meetings and seminars, writing prose and poetry for a regular publication, getting excited about the possibilities of education reform for future generations of students, and much, much more. Ultimate Club regularly gathers residents together to play the great sport of Ultimate Frisbee. There is an emphasis on Spirit of the Game, having fun, and tons of opportunities for students to learn and teach the game of Ultimate.
