Own A Piece of History
Garner and Forbes Residence Halls were constructed in 1958, and have housed thousands of University of Illinois students over the years. Having outlived their useful lives, Garner Hall was demolished in summer 2012, and Forbes Hall is scheduled to come down in summer 2013. Now is your chance to preserve a small part these historic halls for yourself and your family.
For your donation to the University of Illinois Foundation of $150, you will receive an numbered, authentic brick from the exterior of Garner Hall or Forbes Hall (your choice) and a commemorative photograph. Your donation will be used to fund room and board waivers for current students at the University of Illinois.
