International Student Arrival
International students with a confirmed fall contract in Daniels or Sherman can move in to Daniels or Sherman starting Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 12 p.m. noon. To make arrangements for early arrival at Daniels or Sherman, please complete an Early Arrival Request form. The rate is $50 per night for residents with meal plans and $30 per night for residents without meal pans. Daniels Hall also offers a 12-month housing option.
Students with contracts in halls other than Daniels and Sherman and who have early arrival housing in Florida Avenue Residence (FAR) Halls can move into their fall University Housing room at 8 a.m. on Sunday, August 18, 2013. Students with contracts in halls other than Daniels and Sherman who arrive on Sunday, August 18, can move into their fall University Housing room starting at Noon. If you are an international student and would like to stay on campus over break periods (fall, winter, spring), we recommend you preference one of these options:
International students who would like to arrange for early arrival housing before August 18 can apply using our online form. They may reside in FAR until Sunday, August 18, 2013 at 8 a.m. Upon checking out of FAR they will be allowed to check in to their permanent fall assignment. A shuttle service will be offered starting at 8 a.m. on Sunday, August 18, 2013 for students moving from interim housing into their permanent room.
The rates for early arrival housing are shown below. This fee will be charged to the student’s account and will be reflected in the October bill. This fee includes three meals each day (continential breakfast, lunch, and dinner, beginning on Monday, August 19, 2013). See more information about early arrival dining locations.
When students are ready to check in to their fall University Housing room they can go directly to their area or complex front desk and the desk staff will check them in, and give them their room key and card access to the facility.
