University Housing offers a variety of options for graduate students, students with families, faculty and staff, and upper-division undergraduates of the University. Three uniquely different apartment communities are available—all focused around enriching the academic development and enhancing the integration of a diverse student body into the campus community.
We offer apartments in sizes from sleeping rooms and efficiencies to one- and two-bedroom choices. Furnished and unfurnished apartments are available.
We also offer short-term lease options in our apartments.

Orchard Downs
Located approximately one mile southeast from the center of campus, Orchard Downs is nestled in one of the largest green space areas in Champaign-Urbana. The University’s Arboretum, Hartley Gardens, and College of Veterinary Medicine are right next door. Apartment choices include one or two-bedroom units, furnished or unfurnished. The community consists primarily of graduate students and their families with over 70 nationalities represented. Goodwin-Green
Goodwin-Green Apartments are centrally located at the corner of Goodwin Avenue and Green Street in Urbana, close to the heart of campus! These apartments offer privacy while maintaining prime access to the University, Campustown, and the surrounding community. Available are sleeping room, efficiency, and one-bedroom apartments with flexible lease options. Sleeping rooms and efficiency apartments come with some furniture. Efficiency and one-bedroom apartments come with full-sized kitchens. All apartments have private bathrooms. Goodwin-Green apartments are tailored to the housing needs of graduate students, faculty, and staff who are either single, married, or in a domestic partnership. Ashton Woods
This air-conditioned, pet-friendly complex offers pleasant scenery in a quiet environment. Conveniently located southwest from the center of campus on First Street, it is adjacent to the Research Park and UI Employees Credit Union in Champaign. Ashton Woods offers spacious two-bedroom unfurnished apartments and limited furnished options. Located near the College of Veterinary Medicine, College of Law, Demirjian Golf Practice Facility, and the Assembly Hall, this community consists of a great mix of upper-division undergraduates, graduate students, faculty, and staff.
