Complete a Spring Break Housing Contract in MyHousing

The Undergraduate University Residence Halls close on Saturday, March 17 at 3 p.m. and open Sunday, March 25 at noon.

(**Only residents of PAR & ISR – Pennsylvania Avenue Residence Halls and Illinois Street Residence Halls – will be permitted to remain in their own room during the break. PAR & ISR residents must submit a break contract as well.)

Cost:

The rate is $23.40 per night. The non-refundable charge will be billed to your student account unless the reservation is canceled by Monday, March 12, 2012.

Location:

All residents requesting break housing will be housed in a limited number of converted lounge spaces in ISR or PAR (*except residents of PAR & ISR). Each lounge will have a bed for each break resident (6 to 8 students will be assigned to each lounge). ISR lounges include internet access. Residents may also request to stay in a friend’s room in ISR or PAR if all parties sign the Break Housing Guest Agreement Form in addition to signing the Break Housing contract.  Please note you do not need to complete a Guest Agreement for yourself. The same break housing rates apply to those staying in a friend’s room. Students who request one night's stay may be assigned to a lounge in PAR.

Reservations Required:

The deadline to return a spring break housing contract to stay in either ISR or PAR is Friday, March 9 at 7 a.m. If you are interested in obtaining university break housing, complete the break housing contract form online. There are a limited number of spaces available on a first-come, first-served basis.  After March 9, break housing will be provided should spaces remain or become available due to cancellations. Contact the ISR or PAR front desk directly at 333-4640 for space availability.

Any student without a break housing contract who accesses a building during a break period will be assessed the full break housing charge amount. In addition, any student who accesses a hall without a Break Housing contract will also be referred to either the Residential Life judicial process or to the University Police for trespassing.
