Configuring TCP/IP
- Click on the Start button, then Run. Now type winipcfg and click Ok:

- This will bring up a screen similar to this:

- In the pull-down menu, you find and select the entry which says "ethernet adapter" or something similar. If all you can select is "PPP adapter", then you there is a problem with the installation of your ethernet card. Click here for suggestions on how to proceed.
- Once you select your ethernet adapter from the list, click the Release All button, and then Renew All. If all goes well, you should see an IP address of the form 130.126.XX.XX, where XX are numbers between 0 and 255.
- Otherwise, your computer now has a working network connection. If you are still having problems, check below for more suggestions.
