Spring 2015 Move-In

Welcome to the University of Illinois! We are excited to welcome you to your new home on campus.

The residence halls officially open for spring 2015 check-in beginning Sunday, January 18, 2015 at 9 a.m. Please pick up your keys at the office in your area between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m. daily. If you will be unable to arrive by the first day of classes on Tuesday, January 20, 2015, notify the Housing Information Office of when you intend to check in. If you arrive after January 20, 2015 without notifying the housing office, your assignment may change. Failure to claim your room assignment does not automatically cancel your contract.

If you are interested in early arrival, early arrival begins on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 12 noon. The cost of early arrival is $30.00 per night through Saturday, January 17, 2015. There is no meal service available during the spring early arrival period.

To receive early arrival housing for the undergraduate residence halls, simply report to your hall's area office for check-in. All early arrival charges will be billed to your student University account. For Sherman and Daniels Halls, refer to our online Early Arrival Request form. See early arrival information page for more information.

Dining meal plans begin on Monday, January 19, 2015 with brunch (Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday). The deadline to make changes for the spring semester meal plan is February 14, 2015.

Parking

Please note that parking on campus is very limited. Upon your arrival, you may unload your vehicle from a curb or metered space nearest your residence hall (do not leave your car unattended while unloading). For longer term visitor parking that same day you must contact Campus Parking at (217) 333-3530 or www.parking.illinois.edu. Meters and lots are enforced by Campus Parking during early arrival move-in. University Housing is not responsible for parking tickets you may receive.
