Daniels Hall and Sherman Hall Residents
International students with a confirmed Fall contract in Sherman or Daniels can move in to Sherman or Daniels starting Wednesday, August 12. To make arrangements for early arrival at Sherman or Daniels, please complete an Early Arrival Request form. The rate is $25 per night.
Undergraduate Hall Residents
Students with contracts in halls other than Daniels and Sherman and who have early arrival housing in Florida Avenue Residence Halls can move into their fall University Housing room at 9 a.m. on Sunday, August 16, 2009. Students with contracts in halls other than Daniels and Sherman who arrive on Sunday, August 16, can move into their fall University Housing room at noon.
International Students arriving on campus beginning July 27 can move directly into early arrival housing at Florida Avenue Residence Halls for $25/night. International students who would like to arrange for early arrival housing before August 16 can contact the University Housing Conferences & Special Events staff. They may reside in FAR until Sunday August 16, 2009 at 8 a.m. Upon checking out of FAR they will be allowed to check in to their permanent fall assignment.
The rate for early arrival housing starting on August 16 is $50 per night for each student. This fee will be charged to the student’s account and will be reflected in the October 2009 bill. This fee includes two meals each day (lunch and dinner) accessible to the student in two dining locations on campus (Peabody Drive Dining Hall for Champaign residents and Pennsylvania Avenue Dining Hall for Urbana residents). When students are ready to check in to their fall University Housing room they can go directly to their area or complex front desk and the desk staff will check them in, and give them their room key and card access to the facility. Below is a breakdown of costs:
- Move in Sunday, August 16 = $200
- Move in Monday, August 17 = $150
- Move in Tuesday, August 18 = $100
- Move in Wednesday, August 19 = $50
