Planning to Attend Illinois
Whether your son or daughter is a first-year student or a returning upperclassman, we have great options available in University Housing. See a listing of our great locations for freshmen. In addition to our undergraduate residence halls, upperclassmen can join our graduate upper-division community at Daniels or Sherman, or live at Ashton Woods apartments.
Budgeting is easier with University Housing's constant rate program! The room and board rates from the year he or she entered University Housing will still apply for up to four years as long as they live continuously in University Housing’s residence halls. In the future, if you select a different room type or meal plan is selected, you will pay for those choices based on the rate structure from the first year with Housing.
Wondering about safety and security in our buildings? Read University Housing's safety information to find out what safety measures are taken in our facilities.
The University of Illinois Office of Undergraduate Admissions has lots of information for parents who have a son or daughter planning to attend Illinois or are just interested in learning more. The Parent Programs Office also offers a variety of resources for parents.
