Want to make music with other awesome Allenites? Then grab an acoustic instrument, ready your voice, and come check out AllenFolk, where you'll learn to play traditional music from around the world, share songs with and learn from fellow residents, and see performances from local music ensembles. Allenfolk is all about having fun and improving as musicians in a no-stress environment, so whether you're a seasoned musician or just starting out, AllenFolk wants you! Eusa Nia

Eusa Nia is the Black Student Union (BSU) of Allen Hall- one of seven in the university. Wait, Eusa-what? “Eusa Nia” is Swahili for “Black Purpose.” That “purpose” in Allen Hall is to provide an understanding of African-American culture and its influential history to students of color and their peers. Fuego

Fuego aims to foster Latina/o culture and pride within the Allen Hall community. It also serves as a support group for members and a means of addressing Latina/o concerns within university housing. Any and all students are encouraged to join, regardless of background. Fuego hopes to promote a greater understanding of Latina/o culture through a variety of social, cultural, and educational events. Granny Walkers

Are you like your Grandma and like to get up early and go on a walk?  Come out power walking with Olivia and Chauncey every weekday from 8:00-8:30am.  This is a great way to stay in shape and start the day off with some healthy exercise and talk time! Hookah Club

This is a club that meets weekly to enjoy the Middle Eastern tradition of smoking hookah or “sheesha” as well as engaging in friendly conversation with others. Non-smokers wishing to chat and relax with the group are welcome and should by no means feel obligated to smoke. Taking part in the hookah smoking is permitted only for those 18 of age and above. Hot Tub Club 

This is a group that meets weekly to kick back and relax in the CRCE hot tub while engaging in some warm conversation. Avoid this club if you wish to be tense, high-strung, or cold.  This may potentially be the hottest club in Allen Hall.  All are welcome. INK  

Do you LOVE to write?  Do you have poetry? Lyrics? Prose?  This is the place for you!  This literary critique group gets together, reviews each other's work, writes, does themed challenges, and is INCREDIBLY FUN!  We also have photo shoots of us in the shape of the word "INK". Interfaith Allen

Interfaith Allen provides a safe space for students of all faith or non-faith backgrounds to come together and discuss faith-related issues. Photoclub

Photoclub is a group focusing on students’ interest in photography, and improving their skills and portfolios.  Photoclub is for EVERYONE, not one bit of experience required!  We go on field trips to light studios with models and are given biweekly photo challenges.  We also spend time critiquing each others' work and we mess with photoshop. Planeteers

This is an extremely active, exciting, and all around THRILLING environmentally-interested group.  It is dedicated to making Allen and our campus more environmentally friendly.  In addition, the Planeteers go camping at places like Turkey Run and watches "Planet Earth"!  IF YOU LOVE THIS EARTH, join this club.  It is the first step to getting involved with saving the world. Q

Q is Allen Hall's discussion group for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and allied students. Q offers the opportunity for students to talk about controversial issues that affect the LGBTQA community, as well as a chance to engage in activism in their residence hall and far beyond. The group provides a safe place to meet and socialize with other queer and queer-friendly folks through a variety of fun and educational activities, from movie nights to conference trips. Society of Signers

Spanish Club   

This group provides an informal setting for residents to practice speaking Spanish. Residents can expect to play games, watch movies, grab coffee and other treats, and just sit around and talk - all in Spanish of course. Just Breathe! Allen’s yoga club offers a student-led yoga practice once a week, and is open to beginners, yogis, and everyone in between.
