Campus and Community
The neighboring cities of Champaign and Urbana, home to more than 100,000 residents, combine to create a vibrant community.
Unique restaurants, local shops, and scenic parks can be found in the quaint, historic streets of Urbana, while the dynamic city of Champaign is home to nationally known restaurants, malls, movie theaters, and sporting arenas. If you’re looking for a cultural getaway, the Krannert Art Museum boasts a permanent collection of 9,000 pieces of art, while the Spurlock Museum houses approximately 42,000 historical world artifacts. The Krannert Center for the Performing Arts hosts an array of unique performances.
If sports are your passion, we can arrange access to any of the University’s recreational facilities, such as tennis courts, basketball courts, sand volleyball courts, swimming pools, soccer fields, or gyms. Be sure to check out facilities like Campus Recreation Center East (CRCE) and the Activities & Recreation Center (ARC). Or gather some friends together for bowling in the Illini Union.
We hope that you will keep the University of Illinois in mind when you are planning your next group event. To learn more about how our housing, dining, and meeting facilities will fit the needs of your group, please contact us.
